Scott S. Ekdahl, D.O., M.P.H., F.A.A.F.P. – Founder
Hello and welcome to CVMC’s website!
I grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 1973. I received a Master of Public Health (Biostatistics) in 1974 from Loma Linda University while working as a fireman for the California Division of Forestry at Laguna Niguel. I worked for a few years as a biostatistician for McGaw Laboratories and then went to medical school in Mexico for two years.
I was elated to get into and graduate from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa in 1980 on a full US Army Scholarship. With an internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at El Paso, I finished my residency in Family Practice at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu (I know tuff duty, huh?). After two years on staff in that residency program, I left the Army and spent a year as a Fellow in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. After teaching at UCI for a year I discovered Chino Valley and moved here in 1987.
I have 3 adult children and live with my wife Linda in Chino Valley. I enjoy hiking, swimming, reading and spending time with family.
